The use of a laser to permanently remove unwanted, unsightly facial or body hair. The laser emits pulses of light which are absorbed by the hair follicle. The light is absorbed by the pigment and it converts into heat. The heat causes the hair to fall out and disables the cell to reproduce new hair. It usually requires 2 - 4 treatments four to six weeks apart. It is necessary to have no sun exposure or self tanning for 3 – 4 weeks prior to treatment and also no hair removal or bleaching other than shaving for 6 weeks prior.
