Dr. McHugh was born in Export, Pennsylvania, raised in Delmont and attended high school in Greensburg. College and medical school were both at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. McHugh is married to Jamie Joseph McHugh of Greensburg and they have four children. Dr. McHugh returned to Greensburg to practice dermatology in July of 1984. In 1986, Dr. McHugh welcomed Dr. Jeffrey Wolff into the practice, not only as a colleague and associate, but as a life-long friend.
Dr. McHugh graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1978 with his medical degree. He attended the University of Pittsburgh for his internship and a second year Internal Medicine residency. Dermatology training was obtained from Case Western Reserve University at Cleveland Metro General Hospital, finishing in 1984. He later went to Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City from 1993 to 1994. At Columbia, he received his fellowship training in MOHS skin cancer surgery and dermatological surgery.
Dr. McHugh is licensed to practice medicine in Pennsylvania and Delaware.
